Lens-Artists Challenge #356 – Quiet Hours

SH is the challenge host this week. He has chosen the theme – ‘Quiet Hours’ – and how we can show these hours in pictures. When I first read SH’s original challenge post I immediately thought dawn, dusk night time etc. However, I’ve since come around to looking at this in a different way, working out how I use quiet hours to benefit me, especially as a stock photographer.

Travel – Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain

A camper van driving away from the Papagayo Beaches through Los Ajaches Natural Park. Hacha Grande is in the background, the highest peak in the south of the island. I’ve always wanted to climb it but I don’t think it’s suitable for casuals hikers like us.

We really like Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands off the coast of North Africa. Its a popular destination for Brits and other Europeans as the climate is pretty good all year round. We spent last week there having picked up a last minute, discounted, package deal. One of the benefits of being retired.

Spain, Adalucia – 2024

A visit to Andalucía wasn’t in our travel plans going in to 2024. However, we had to cancel a planned trip to Madeira after our holiday package company changed our flights. My Brother in Law, David, knowing we were disappointed and suddenly holiday-less, offered us the opportunity to share an Air BnB with him and Donna in Torrox, Spain.

Estepona, Spain/Gibraltar – 2023

In June 2022 we visited Estepona, Andalucía, Spain for a weeks holiday. We booked an all inclusive hotel which was shown as being in Estepona but, although it was in the Estepona region, it was located eight miles from the main town.
