The Easter Lily Cactus

Echinopsis Subdenudata, commonly known as the Easter Lily or Domino Cactus.

We’ve had a tiny round cactus plant at home for about five years or so now. I think it probably came home with us as one of a pack of tiny cacti from Ikea. I’ve never really bothered with it and it normally sits, out of the way, on a book shelf, at the back of the kitchen. It’s in a really good warm, light position.

Gromit Unleashed 3 – Part 2

The Mr Darcy Sculpture at the Clifton Observatory. Mr Darcy was painted by Rhiannon Southwell and was inspired by Jane Austins ‘Pride and Prejudice’.

We went back in to Bristol yesterday to meet up with my daughter, Zoe, and three of our grandchildren, Ewan, Barney and Toby, with the intention of visiting a few more Gromit Unleashed 3 Sculptures. We decided to go in to the Clifton area of the city and pick off the five figurines located there.

Gromit Unleashed 3

Sculpture 26 – Love Actually.

Gromit Unleashed 3 came to the streets of Bristol, UK at the end of June and runs through until 31st August 2025. Its the third time the characters, created by Aardman Animation, have popped up on the city streets to help raise money for The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.

Stock Images – February Uploads

A sticky pear toffee pudding I made after watching a Mary Berry recipe that was on TV last week. The Grandchildren loved it.

After a disappointing month for sales in January, things picked up in February and I returned to my rough average of about 10-15 sales per month. On a negative note, I also had a problem with a Alamy’s exclusivity rules and they fined me $150.
