John hosts this weeks challenge and asks us to ‘consider how shadows shape your photos‘. You can read his original challenge post here.

I’ve trawled the archives and found a few of my images that hopefully fit the brief. I’ve tried to include pics that show a distinct contrast between light and shadow.

Thank you to John for hosting this weeks challenge. I look forward to viewing the other contributors blogs for this weeks challenge.

Terrific as usual Steve. Especially loved the shadow from behind the cloth and the black cat.
Thank you Tina. The black cat was an iphone pic 🙂
Steve, incredible gallery. The cat is my favorite.
Thank you Beth 🙂
I recognize Estepona, in fact we have a similar picture 😊
I really like Estepona, so much so we’re going back in June but staying closer to town this time 🙂
Great shot of the cat in the alley.
Thank you Andy. I used an iphone for that as I’d left my camera behind 🙂
Wonderful images. Love the cat and the mountains.
Thank you Rebecca 🙂
Steve, these are just wonderful. The cat and the city seen through the window are my favorites, but the streets with shadows do tell add to the stories in your well composed photos
Thank you Ritva. You’re a bit of a master at the old window shots 🙂
Awesome photos mate, I am always going to go with the Cat as my favourite, but love the street photo, I think 5th in 😍
Thank you Tyler. That was an iphone pic. It’s very rare that I don’t have a camera with me. I think the norovirus we picked up there affected my thinking 🙂
Steve, you covered some great themes with these photos. It’s a beautiful gallery from start to finish. I absolutely loved the cat image.
Thank you Egidio 🙂
The last one could easily be on the juxtaposition challenge, it’s a powerful image. My favourite for this challenge is the cat, what a beauty 🙂
Thank you Sofia 🙂
I really like the way you have used shadows to frame the light, they are great Steve.
Thank you Leanne 🙂
Awesome, that cat shot in the shadows is divine!
Thank you Pamela 🙂
Love the cat!
Thank you Anne 🙂
