Lens-Artists Challenge #387—Shadowed

John hosts this weeks challenge and asks us to ‘consider how shadows shape your photos‘. You can read his original challenge post here.

I’ve used the trees in dark shadow to highlight this snow covered peak in the High Atlas Mountains, Morocco.

I’ve trawled the archives and found a few of my images that hopefully fit the brief. I’ve tried to include pics that show a distinct contrast between light and shadow.

I was drawn to the shadows created by people viewing these throws on the opposite side to where I was standing

Finally, there’s a lot going on here. This was on the Southbank in London. A tourist photographing a Shakespeare mural that’s half in shadow. She’s standing over a homeless person lying on the pavement at the rear of a Wagamama restaurant.

Thank you to John for hosting this weeks challenge. I look forward to viewing the other contributors blogs for this weeks challenge.
