I thought I’d take a break from the retrospective wedding blogs, although I will take up where I left off soon. Instead I thought I’d write about this amazing second hand buy I picked up in a local charity shop today. It’s the Redged RTA-320 pictured above. It needed a wipe over but apart from a few scratches its in almost like new condition. I picked it up for £9.99. I can’t find them for sale in the UK but I saw one listed in the states for $104.

I’ve been looking out for a small tripod for some time. I haven’t bought new because I wasn’t sure how much I’d use it but I think this will be coming away with me when we travel to Marrakesh next month. It feels really sturdy, well made and although its made from Aluminium, its not overly heavy. I usually get by with the camera balanced on a bag when I want to use a long exposure but that’s not always practical., Who knows, I might even be encouraged to go looking for some long exposure shots with this in the camera bag with me.
