Yesterday, 28th January, was ‘International Lego Day’. I didn’t know, or realise, this until late in the day when I saw a related Lego post on Flickr. So, although I started writing my article yesterday I’m a day late posting as I didn’t have my Lego images available to upload.
I do enjoy building with Lego, my biggest challenge so far was the Lego Friends Apartments Set although I’ve done a few smaller sets since. The trouble I have is finding somewhere to display them once they’re built. We have a Lego Statue of Liberty on a shelf in the lounge. The other sets are just to big too go anywhere. It’s good fun building and photographing them though.

As per the previous paragraph I do enjoy photographing the characters and sets. I normally photograph all the sets I build and my son in law has built a couple of the large F1 cars I’m dying to get my hands on and snap. I’ll leave it there for now with a few more of my Lego images and try to be a bit more prepared for next years International Lego Day.

How did I not know this? Your photos are so fun! Have you ever been to Disney Springs in Orlando to see the Lego store and the huge Lego displays there?
Thank you Beth. No I’ve not visited Disney springs but we do have our own Legoland over here, near London. It’s a theme park but with lots of Lego models. There’s one whole section with landmarks from around the world. I might blog our last visit there. If we go to Orlando I’ll make a point of visiting that store. Thank you for the tip 🙂
Steve, there is also a LegoLand in Winter Haven, Florida.
Oh my goodness this is so fun! I love friends, still watch the reruns. Love the little photographer!
They re run Friends over here. It always make me laugh even though I’ve watched most of the episodes before 🙂
Steve, now you can add on a Lego museum to your home!
