I rarely go out from home in order to shoot a landscape but I do enjoy searching them out when we’re on holiday. I will then sometimes make a special effort to visit a location I’ve researched, stumbled across or seen earlier in the day. So, here’s a few of those images for this weeks challenge.

Stunning landscapes Steve I love castle, but I think my favourite is the lighthouse, at least that is what I think it is. Beautiful post.
Thank you Leanne. Yep it’s an old wooden lighthouse. They’ve turned them all off now as working lighthouses. The ships use satellites instead 🙂
Steve, your examples are beautiful compositions, all. My favorite is that stunning sky behind that cable car, but black-and-white is a favorite style, so the Dorset photo is honorable mention in my opinion!

Hard for me to believe but I think that is the first time I’ve actually seen a photo of the Rock of Gibraltar. That’s a truly wonderful image Steve. Also loved the cable car image.

Carew Castle looks stunning, I have added it to my UK list of places to go. The closest I have ever made it to there is Swansea according to Google Maps, so will have to get planning 😊
That’s a really lovely part of Wales. We were there to photograph sea birds on Skomer Island, worth a visit if you like puffins. Tenby and Saundersfoot are nice and the beaches are stunning.
