LENS-ARTISTS CHALLENGE #363: Virtual Scavenger Hunt

This week Anne has set the Lens-Artists challenge. She’s asked us to match five to ten images, scavenged from our portfolios, to a list of themes she has provided. You can find Anne’s original post here.

Here are my scavenged images:

Something Glass
Something with green eyes – Well, One green eye!
Something with a pattern
Something with a camera
Something with a bumpy texture
Shoelaces
Something circular
Something with a cool shadow
Some cool jewellery (my wife had this made for her by a local Artisan Jeweller. She supplied the gold which was mostly rings she no longer wanted or had inherited and didn’t fit)
Something with water in it (that’s Sid, an African Pygmy Hedgehog, having a bath in our bathroom sink. We’re minding him this week whilst his mum and dad are on holiday)

Thank you Anne for hosting a great challenge.

    • Thank you Sofia. Most of those images were shot with stock in mind. The cup with diffused green tea is a good example. It’s sort of on trend, uncluttered and with areas left for copy space. I’m confident of that selling at some stage. It would have done better on somewhere like Adobe stock but one sell on Alamy could equal more than twenty there. this thread here on the Alamy Forum will show you whats currently selling and the prices. A lot will be linked to current news stories

      • Excellent. Good for you. Don’t get dispirited if they reject some of your submission. I used to get lots of rejections with them. I don’t get any with Alamy. Good thing with Adobe is you should get sales coming through quicker than you would with Alamy. Let me know how you get on and good luck

  1. These are all great images, Steve! An excellent collection for Anne’s challenge. But who keeps a hedgehog pet?? I guess the cat is my favorite. Also liked the shoes.
